Mercury Lounge Presents Shaman Rhythms & Sol da Capital for an evening
of Brazilian Grooves & Latin Rhythms that will knock your socks off!
Shaman Rhythms will take the audience through an eclectic, captivating collection of original compositions, blending Latin, Blues, Flamenco, and other world music, creating an exquisite blend of Latin rhythms. The group members originally come from Mexico and Central America.
They will capture your heart and send it dancing to enchanting and uplifting rhythms. Concerts with Shaman Rhythms epitomize what great live music is all about. Band members are Balam Santos on lead guitar, Raymundo Pizana on guitar and bass, Salomon Carrillo on Latin percussion and flute, and Salomon Carrillo Jr on guitar.
Sol da Capital, a new Ottawa group with singer-songwriter Rachel Beausoleil, Brazilian guitarist-composer Evandro Gracelli, Jasmin Lalande (saxophones and flute), Marc Decho (bass guitar), Angel Araos (percussion) will perform Brazilian jazz grooves that will knock you out!
